Founded in 2004, Hospice in His Care is certified and licensed in the state of Louisiana. We are not affiliated with any particular denomination or organization. We honor the diversity in beliefs and backgrounds of all our patients. With the assistance of our hospice, the patient and their loved ones can live fully and as comfortable as possible, by allowing our team to address pain, distress and fears of the patient, family and friends with love and compassion. Hospice in His Care believes that through overall assistance customized to the unique needs of the patient and family, this step of life can be one the patient and family controls. Our professional loving staff strives to provide physical comfort for the patient, while providing the emotional and spiritual support needed for the family by honoring decisions and choices.

Our hospice serves a 50 mile radius of the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the following parishes: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Lafayette, Lafourche, Livingston, Point Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Martin, Tangipahoa , West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.

We coordinate the care, equipment and supplies necessary for the patient admitted to our care by a referring physician. Hospice services are paid for with Medicaid, Medicare Part A and most private insurances with little or no cost to the patient or family.

Deyta, a division of HEALTHCAREfirst and an industry leader in data-driven management, announced on Thursday, April 21, 2016 that Hospice in His Care had been named a 2016 Hospice Honors Elite. Hospice Honors is a landmark prestigious program established by Deyta that recognizes hospices providing the best patient and caregiver experience as noted in surveys from families that were under the services of Hospice in His Care.

On August 25, 2021, Hospice in His Care was pleased to announce that they had once again been recognized for outstanding hospice service by Deyta. This is the fifth year Hospice in His Care has been awarded for exceptional care for their patients.

According to a Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Hospice Survey (CAHPS®), Hospice in His Care has exceeded the national average for hospice care during the study period from 7/1/2015 to 6/30/2017. The CAHPS® amassed information from family caregivers of patients who died while under hospice care about their experiences with hospice and their respective hospice agency to determine the ratings of hospice agencies nationwide.
The survey categories included Communication with family, Getting timely help, Treating patients with respect, Emotional and spiritual support, Help for pain and symptoms and Training family to care for the patient.
